Obituary of Wanda Christine Lee

With unbelievable sorrow and in the arms of her daughters and with her grandchildren at her side just 5 days short of her 74th birthday we mourn the passing of our mom and Nanny Wanda Lee who passed away April 24th, 2024, after a 4-year battle with IPF. She was born in west Saint John on April 29th, 1950, to the late Norman and Doris (Green) Clements.

She will be greatly missed by her fiancé Arden Gregg and her daughters; Doreen (Brian) Scribner, Lorrie Myers (Brad Swan), Melissa (David) Lee and her grandchildren; Shannon Myers, Amy Myers, Brandon Lee, Rilley Holden (Tabitha) and great grandchildren; Owen Myers-London, Darcy Myers, Kyli Lee, Cam Myers-Ward and Myles Lee and her soon to born 6th great grandchild Baby Boy Lee. Also survived by her brothers Norm, Wayne, Tom (Susan), Tony and Danny (Phyllis).

Besides her parents she was preceded by her first husband and father of her children Melbourn Holden and her second husband James Lee and also by her brother Mark Clements.

She was a quiet, gentle soul but never held back if she had something to tell you. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in the sunshine especially at Oromocto Lake fishing and side by siding. Wanda loved travelling, particularly to warmer climates, and she went on many wonderful adventures over the years and some of her favorite and memorable trips were when the 4 amigos went south annually for the winter (now there are only 2 amigos left Robert & Carol Lee). She had a green thumb. She loved to garden, tend to her plants and keeping the property looking beautiful.  Mom could always be found behind the camera taking we are sure must be at least a million pictures or videos.  Mom always had a knitted pair of socks or mitts on the go, or a puzzle on the table, and she absolutely loved to shop and not just for herself but for everyone. Foremost, Wanda was a beloved mother and grandmother. Her family always came first; she was loving, caring, loyal, supportive, and fiercely protective of them. She truly was the Matriarch of her clan and was loved beyond words and will be so greatly missed.

Her family take comfort in knowing she is now pain free and reunited with her family, especially her dad whom she was so close to. Mom, we wish you could come back, but we don’t want you to suffer again. We know you are with us, and we will always love and miss you with all our hearts. Until we met again!

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701.
